Freddie Mercury’s ‘Rainbow Discotheque’ T-Shirt, c. 1977, with trousers and sneakers

A brick red cotton T-shirt, the front decorated with a multi coloured image of a rainbow, blue sky and clouds, the left sleeve with a rainbow motif and ‘RAINBOW DISCOTHEQUE BOSTON MASS.’, labelled ‘Champion’; with a pair of bespoke ivory cotton twill flared trousers, two slit coin pockets at front below waistband, with two-button fastening at waist (buttons missing), the interior waistband lined with white, grey and red striped satin, unlabelled; and a pair of black canvas ‘Pro-Keds’ sneakers, with white stitching, white rubber toe caps and trim decorated at the side with a black and red diagonal stripe, white laces, brown rubber moulded soles, no size present.
